Florida Bat Maternity Season (April 15 – August 15)
During maternity season, flightless bat pups cannot be separated from their mothers. State and federal guidelines prohibit structural exclusions during this window. We still inspect, assess, and schedule your exclusion for the first legal date after the season ends — and we safely remove & relocate any injured or orphaned bats through our licensed rehabber partner.
Bat Maternal Season Protection Program
Don't wait until maternity season ends — start protecting your home today. During Florida's protected bat maternity season, permanent exclusion is generally restricted to protect flightless pups. Most companies simply tell homeowners to wait while the problem keeps growing. At Elevate Home Solutions, we've developed a proactive 5-stage program that lets us begin protecting your home immediately — fully compliant with Florida wildlife regulations and coordinated through our licensed bat rehabilitator partner.
Stage 1 — Exterior Protection
We perform a comprehensive inspection and permanently seal all secondary bat entry points using professional chew-resistant materials. Only the active entry point(s) currently used by the colony stay open until permanent exclusion can legally be completed.
Stage 2 — Interior Containment
We seal accessible interior pathways that could let bats enter your living space — damaged ductwork, ceiling penetrations, attic access points, plumbing penetrations, and recessed lighting. This keeps the colony confined to the attic section it already occupies while protecting your home's interior.
Stage 3 — Health Protection
Throughout the maternity season, we return as needed to remove accumulated bat guano — reducing odors and minimizing the waste buildup that raises health risks, including exposure to fungal spores associated with Histoplasmosis.
Stage 4 — Alternative Roosting
Unless declined, we install a professionally placed bat house in an appropriate location away from normal human activity. This gives the colony an alternative roosting site and may encourage relocation before final exclusion.
Stage 5 — Permanent Exclusion
Once permanent exclusion is legally permitted — or earlier if the situation qualifies under applicable wildlife regulations and approvals — we install professional bat doors over the active entry points. After the colony safely exits, we permanently seal the remaining openings to complete the exclusion.

The Elevate Difference
Most companies tell you, “We'll have to wait until maternity season is over.” We believe your home shouldn't be left unprotected for months. Our process begins immediately — securing vulnerable entry points, protecting your living spaces, managing guano, providing an alternative roost, and preparing your home for permanent exclusion at the earliest time allowed under Florida regulations. You don't have to wait for progress — we begin protecting your home from day one.
We Partner with Central Florida Bat Rescue
Part of what makes our bat removal truly humane is what happens after the bats leave your home. We're proud to partner with Central Florida Bat Rescue, a local Florida bat rehabilitator that rescues, rehabilitates, and releases native bats back into the wild. Injured or orphaned bats handled during our exclusions are turned over to their experienced care team — so removal from your home never means harm to the animal.
Humane Relocation
Live bats are safely captured and transferred to a licensed rehabilitator rather than harmed.
Rescue & Rehab
Orphaned or injured pups are stabilized by Central Florida Bat Rescue and released when ready.
Non-Lethal Exclusion
One-way valves let bats exit on their own and block re-entry — no poisons, no harm.
